Designer fashion label Daks has announced that its head of design, Sheila McKain-Waid

is stepping down from her role after three years with the brand.

McKain-Waid, who was previously worked at Oscar de la Renta, Halston, and Donna Karan, has been responsible for the brand’s past four catwalk collections shown at London Fashion Week, and has added a sense of modernity to the classic British heritage brand.

In addition to heading up the design team, which encompasses all womenswear and accessories, McKain-Waid has been responsible for the creative and visual direction of the brand and has acted as the label’s brand ambassador.

There has been no word on McKain-Waid’s replacement or her plans for the future.

Daks will showcase its Spring/Summer 2014 collection on-schedule at London Fashion Week on September 13.
