David Gandy to design underwear range for M&S

Model David Gandy has designed his own range of men’s underwear collection exclusively for high street

retailer Marks and Spencer.

Following in the footsteps of model Rosie Huntington-Whiteley, Gandy’s capsule collection will be for the retailer’s premium line, Autograph, and will be available in more than 250 stores worldwide, as well as online.

The David Gandy for Autograph collection will comprise of 28-pieces ranging from boxers and briefs to sleepwear and will launch on September 18.

Commenting on the new underwear range, Gandy said: “I’m delighted to be working with Marks & Spencer on this collaboration. It’s the first time that I’ve been involved with the design and creation of a collection and I’ve thoroughly enjoyed every minute of it. I’ve been keen to focus on the detail, from the quality of materials to everyday comfort and fit."

Scott Fyfe, M&S's director of menswear, added: "This collaboration brings together our market-leading expertise with David’s unique viewpoint and eye for design and finishing, developed during his hugely successful career as a top male model. We think our customers will love the exceptional quality and finishing that’s at the very heart of this range.”

The announcement came on the opening day of London Collections: Men, which is hosting the best of British SS15 menswear, for which Gandy is an ambassador.
