Debenhams awarded for best global retail expansion

France's prestigious Mapic awards has recognised Debenhams

for its growth efforts.

The awards ceremony was held in Cannes this week, and saw several international fashion retailers and brands being recognised.

Presented by International Design, the Mapic award for the best global retail expansion went to department store group Debenhams, while The Star Vista in Singapore won the award for most innovative shopping centre.

This year, the category for best retail concept went to Adidas Neo in Germany.

In total, the Mapic Awards programme comprised seven categories this year, two more than in 2011.
