Department store chain Debenhams has promoted its divisional trading director of e-commerce Ross
Clemmow to e-commerce director, effective immediately.Clemmow, who joined the retailer last July, has overseen significant developments in Debenhams’ online proposition, including a site migration and an increase in emphasis on multi-channel. In addition to his promotion, Clemmow has also been appointed to the Debenhams executive committee.
Commenting on Clemmow’s new role, chief executive Michael Sharp said: “Ross has made an excellent contribution to our online offer since joining Debenhams last summer. Online retail sales are increasingly important to Debenhams and in his new role, Ross will continue to develop our digital proposition and help support our strategy of becoming a leading international, multi-channel brand.”
