Deckers EMEA president to step down

Footwear specialists Deckers Outdoor Corporation, whose brands include Ugg, has confirmed that Stephen

Murray is to step down as president for Europe, the Middle East and Africa at the end of the year.

Murray, who has been with Deckers since 2011, has been overseeing all the brands subsidiary and distributor businesses including Ugg, Teva, Tsubo and Simply Shoes in the EMEA region. He has cited personal reasons for his departure and will continue at the company until the end of 2014 to assist in the transition process.

Prior to Decker, Murray served as global president at Urban Outfitters, and was president of VF Action Sports Coalition.

His departure comes after Deckers Outdoor Corporation published strong full year results, which showed that net sales increased 10.1 percent to 1.557 billion dollars from 1.414 billion dollars in 2012.
