Derek Lam exits Tod's

Derek Lam, the American-Chinese designer, has reportedly left as creative direction of Tod’s,

the Italian luxury shoe and accessories company. Tod's parent company is the Della Valle’s group, which also owns Hogan shoes and Fay clothing.

Lam has been the creative head of Tod's for nearly six years but is leaving to concentrate on his own collection. Lam was the recipient of the CFDA Perry Ellis Swarovski Award in 2005 and has designed a line of clothing, accessories and jewellery that has been hugely successful, especially in the USA.
