Diego Della Valle has recently upped his stake in the family-run shoemaker, acquiring 216,885 shares or approximately 0.71
percent of the total Tod's share capital, for a total outlay of about 17.3 million euros.As announced by the company in a statement, Tod’s chief Diego Della Valle and his family have increased their stake in the Italian luxury company by purchasing 216,885 shares between Aug. 12 and 19, that's almost a 0.7 percent of the firm’s equity.
According to the company's note, Della Valle invested about 17.27 million euros. Diego Della Valle’s DI VI Finanziaria financial vehicle handled the acquisition through five different operations, at an average purchase price of close to 80 euros.
Della Valle’s total share of Tod’s is now estimated to be 56.7 percent.
Tod's has seen its stock value reduced by 34 percent in the recent months.
