Diesel’s chief executive officer Daniela Riccardi has resigned
from the fashion brand after less than three years in the role.Riccardi leaves the denim and fashion brand on April 1 and Diesel has yet to confirm her successor.
Her departure comes amidst several changes being made by Diesel’s parent company, Only the Brave Srl, which is being rebranded OTB SpA as the company drives to build a successful multiband fashion group.
One of the changes is that Stefano Rosso, son of Diesel founder Renzo Rosso, is to become the new co-CEO of OTB SpA, as the group reiterates the “continuity and involvement of the family” as well as having no plans to publicly list the company.
As well as Diesel, the Italian fashion group controls Maison Martin Margiela and Viktor & Rolf, as well as having a majority stake in Marni. In addition, it owns Staff International, the manufacturing company which produces and distributes collections for Vivienne Westwood Red Label, Marc Jacob menswear, DSquared2 and Just Cavalli.
