We’ve seen a fetish moment on some of the A/W 11 catwalks these past few weeks

(Louis Vuitton, Mcqueen) but now Selfridges are having their own love life moment.

Revisiting the story of its founder, the Dolly Sisters – twins, Rosika and Jansi – who were lovers of Harry Gordon Selfridge, the world’s leading department store is opening the 'Dolly Cafe' on the lower ground floor.

Born in 1892, and having fleed from Hungary to America, the Dolly Sisters made waves on the Vaudeville circuit and went onto join the infamous Ziegfeld Follies. They then went onto make several films in the early 1920’s and toured the theatres and dance halls of Europe.

In their honour, the cafe will have a twenties theme and the menu will be suited to its decadent surroundings.
