New York-based fashion label Duckie Brown, helmed by design duo Daniel Silver and Steven Cox, are set to showcase 10 women’s
looks during their runway show at New York Fashion Week next month. The CFDA award-winning duo have produced womenswear pieces before in the past, offering a small selection of knitwear, but this will be the label’s first full womenswear collection. The line will feature more than 50 pieces and include coats and jackets to dresses and slacks, which will utilise the same fabric and colour palette as the menswear offering.
“It’s for the downtown woman, but it’s also sophisticated,” Silver explained to WWD, adding that the collection would have “an eveningwear vibe”.
Duckie Brown has been doing menswear for 10 years and recently added a successful footwear collaboration with Florsheim. The label has been known for playing with gender boundaries in their designs and they previously sent male models down their runways wearing skirts.
