Diane Von Furstenberg’s president, Paula Sutton, is leaving the New York-based label

at the end of the year. Sutton, who has been with the brand since 1999, has widely been credited with revamping the label and building it into a global luxury lifestyle brand.

"Paula has played a key role in the second life of DVF," said Diane von Furstenberg. "We have had a great ride together, and I am grateful for all that she has done to bring us to where we are today."

Until a replacement is found for Sutton, who will leave DVF on December 31, senior management will report directly to former Tommy Hilfiger co-founder Joel Horowitz, who joined the brand last year as co-chairman to work alongside Von Furstenberg.

"I have great respect for Diane and the organisation we have built together," Sutter told WWD. "The company has grown tremendously over the last 14 years, and I am very proud of what we have accomplished during my time here."
