eBay UK launches Shopping Basket

UK eBay buyers can now add all the items they want sent by parcel delivery into a single shopping

 basket after the auction site announced that it is rolling out new platform, Shopping Basket across the site this month.

The introduction of the shopping basket means that buyers will now have the ability to browse, add and compare items from various sellers and pay for all in one transaction. For sellers, it means a faster and easier way to shop, and allows the opportunity to sell additional products with buyers placing bigger orders. Additionally, the shopping basket function is said to help reduce the number of unpaid items as buyers have to check out and pay before they can buy a fixed price item.

Sebastien Dubuisson, part of eBay's Buyer Team, said: "We believe that it is a standard e-commerce experience now and we have had really positive feedback from buyers and sellers. We've improved the experience based on that feedback."

Last week online retailer eBay launched its new advertising campaign to promote its Fashion Outlet, which sells items from fashion retailers including House of Fraser, Office and La Redoute.
