Elisa Sednaoui designs mother and child line for Yoox

Model and actress Elisa Sednaoui is venturing into fashion with a capsule

mother and childrenswear collection called ‘Little-a-Like’ designed exclusively for Yoox.

The line features pieces for boys, girls, babies and mothers and has been inspired by the rich textile patterns and embroidery of Egypt, a country Sednaoui describes as “close to her heart”. The Italy-made collection includes rompers, summer dresses, long-sleeved tunics, striped numbers, T-shirts and printed separates.

"I am very happy to be working with Yoox.com in this fantastic initiative, because both children Egyptians Italian ones will benefit directly," Sednaoui told Italian Vogue. "The collection, all made ​​in Italy and inspired by the traditional Egyptian textile motifs, represents me perfectly; moreover, I am the daughter of both countries."

Proceeds from the sale of the range will go to the actress’s eponymous foundation, a non-profit organisation dedicated to the promotion of creative and cultural exchanges through after-school classes to children in Egypt.

The collection is exclusive to luxury e-commerce platform Yoox.com, which ships to more than 100 countries worldwide.
