The amount of interest received from retailers who are looking to acquire Internaçionale's
intellectual property (IP) has led to the extension of the offer deadline.Due to the increased interest in fashion label's IP, which is being handled by specialist Metis Partners, the deadline has been extended from last Friday to this week Wednesday 4 pm, according to the Scotsman.
“We've been quite surprised by the response, but I think it is partly down to the fact Internacionale is seen as a value brand at a time when retailers in that segment are doing very well,” said Metis director, Stephen Robertson.
A number of high street retailers, private equity companies with retail portfolios are said to have shown interest in purchasing Internacionale's IP, which includes its UK and EC registered trademarks, the customer database and its e-commerce website content.
Internacionale, which previously has 89 stores across the UK went into administration for the second time in less than nine months this January.
