Escada taps first chief marketing officer

German fashion label Escada has appointed its first chief marketing officer. Stephen Croncota, former chief marketing officer

at Versace in Milan, is set to take on the newly created position, with immediate effect. He will be in charge of all Escada's marketing and public relations divisions, including e-commerce, licensing, advertising, promotion and trade marketing.

Croncota cut his teeth in the creative industry, serving as marketing director of Condé Nast Details magazine, creative director at Cartoon Network and senior vice president for marketing at E! Entertainment Television.

Megha Mittel, chairman at Escada, commented that Croncota prior experience in the creative industries will “further enhance and focus our efforts to engage with our customers in exciting ways both online and offline.”
