Well this December, London Fashion Week designers,
Bruno Basso and Chris Brooke, are launching their own digital power print workshop to fashion, art, photography, textiles and graphic design students and professionals. The former Fashion Fringe winners are known for their extravagant prints and are hosting the workshop to share their expertise and knowledge of digital printing, as well as new technologies in textiles. The workshop will take place in central London and will discuss: understanding both creativity and technically the digital print process and how to generate an industry ready piece of artwork; advice on how to research and explore ideas to precisely engineer the artwork onto a garment; and a showcase from the duo on the further possibilities of digital printing including, the creation of 3D techniques such as appliqué, embroidery and embellishment.
The best bit about the workshop is that you’ll be able to walk away with your own digital artwork created under the supervision of the design duo on a shift dress template, which will then be constructed for you. So you can learn all about digital prints from the best and get a bespoke dress as well.
This course has been put together to attract anyone who has an interest in new textiles and technologies focusing on digital printing, but their expertise does come at a price as the day workshop will cost you from £3,800. But do remember that does include a £1,400 bespoke dress that you will create with the fashion label.
Interested? Get in quick as the workshop only seats eight people.
