Fashion faces named in Debretts 500 list

Fashion names including Victoria Beckham, Stella McCartney, Christopher Kane and Burberry’s Christopher Bailey are all highlighted
in the annual Debretts 500 list, as being among the most influential people in the country.The manners and etiquette expert, which has compiled an encyclopaedic list of the British aristocracy since 1769, asked experts in more than 25 fields from fashion and film to sport and theatre to select 500 people they believe are making an impact in the country today.
Other fashion designers to make the cut included Alexander McQueen creative director Sarah Burton, Céline creative director Phoebe Philo, and Jimmy Choo co-founder Tamara Mellon, who is now creative director of her eponymous label, Tamara Mellon.
BFC chair Natalie Massenet and GQ editor and London Collections: Men creator Dylan Jones were also on the list as was Fashion East founder and director Lulu Kennedy, Central St Martin’s course director Louise Wilson, photographer Nick Knight, stylist and Love editor-in-chief Katie Grand.
Models Kate Moss and Cara Delevingne joined the line up, as did British Vogue’s editor in chief Alexandra Shulman, casting director Russell Marsh, make-up artists Pat McGrath and Charlotte Tilbury, and hairstylist Sam McKnight.
