Fashion Fringe winner, Fyodor Golan, is the most

recent label to be bought by department store, Harvey Nichols.

"I first saw Fyodor Golan in March this year before they had presented and won Fashion Fringe," said the shop's head of womenswear buying April Glassborow. "At that stage, while their talent was apparent, they were not quite ready. However, on seeing their spring/summer 2012 collection I was very impressed by their direction and development."

Winners of the sort after prize back in September, Glassborow added, "They have a strong signature and focus, which I find rare at their stage in business. They have paid attention to detail and offer strong pieces which, while they are in the luxury arena are well priced, is often a problem with young designers. The design slant is very dressed up and this will readily fit the profile of our First Floor international customer."
