Fat Face appoints financial adviser

Lifestyle and fashion retailer Fat Face has hired Lazard, independent financial advisory

and asset management firm, to review its current business. Sources speculate that the retailer has appointed the firm to also explore the company's possible options for the future, which could include a change in ownership or a move to go public.

Draper reports that after Fat Face hired former M&S chairman and CEO Sir Stuart Rose as chairman this summer, rumors have been circulating that the retailer is preparing to list next year.

Fat Face is currently preparing to expand into the US next year and launch a US-based website for its overseas customers within the next two years following “very strong” results, as it previously revealed it has increased its turnover by 9 percent to 179 million pounds to the 53 weeks to June 2.
