Portuguese designer Felipe Oliveira Baptista has called off

his upcoming fall 14 Paris Fashion Week show, which was set to take place Wednesday, as he announces the postponement of his ready-to-wear line.

His ready-to-wear line has been suspended for an unknown amount of time, as the designer and his wife Séverine Oliveira Baptista, who co-founded the label with Baptista, consider the future possibilities for the brand.

“Séverine and I decided to take time off to think about the future of our collaboration and brand and reevaluate its structure and existence, said Baptista to WWD.

After Baptista won the Festival d'Hyères' grand prix in 2002, he started his label in 2003 before showing his collections during Paris Fashion Week from 2009 to 2013. He also developed a couture line, which showed during the couture week in the French capital from 2005 to 2009.

"We will most likely venture into another design or creative field. We would like to thank everyone who has supported and has worked with us over these extremely rich and fantastic ten years," added Baptista. "It is a well-thought-out and positive decision. It's the end of a chapter, not the book."
