Fenwick has unveiled a new 1 million pound ‘Shoe Corner’ on the ground floor of its Bond Street flagship.

The footwear department spans across 4,143 square foot of space, more than double the size of its previous location on the first floor, and features over 30 brands, of which nearly one-third are new to the store, including Nicholas Kirkwood, Lanvin, Valentino, Marni and Alexander Wang.

The renovations have taken two months to complete and have been designed by Shayne Brady, founder of interior architecture studio BradyWilliams, and has been inspired by the boutiques of 1920s London and the original Mayfair Fenwick town house at 63 New Bond Street.

Fenwick managing director David Walker-Smith said: “Creating a bespoke shoe department on the ground floor is something avant garde to the retail experience. Our shopper is time poor so we have micro-curated a key edit to ensure they have a shoe relevant for every element of their busy life. Our goal is to create the ultimate level of service for a unique and refined, yet opulent shopping experience.”

Other new brands on offer in the ‘Shoe Corner’ include Jil Sander, Giuseppe Zanotti, Bottega Veneta, and Proenza Schouler. They join existing brands such as Salvatore Ferragamo, Tod’s, Acne, Michael Kors, Chloé, Pretty Ballerinas and Phillip Lim.
