Finalists announced for UK Lingerie Awards 2014

“This is going to be by far the biggest and most exciting night

of the year for the British intimate apparel industry,” stated Marianna Trotta, the event director of the UK Lingerie awards in their press release.

The UK lingerie awards consists of 19 different categories, which range from Boudoir Lingerie Brand of the year, to Swimwear Brand of the year and Shapewear Brand of the year. The judging panel is made up of some of the leading experts in the lingerie industry, like Sharon Webb, head of lingerie buying and design at Debenhams and Melanie Cottrell, commercial director at Figleaves. The selected finalists for the award ceremony contain some of the most well known British lingerie brands and stores, such as Fleur of England, Fred & Ginger and John Lewis.

"The response from lingerie brands and retailers has been incredible this year,” Trotta revealed, delighted that the award ceremony had received nominations from over 110 companies and brands. “We would like to extend our huge gratitude to the expert panel of judges that whittled down all these great entries to the short list of finalists we have published this week,” she concluded.

The UK Lingerie Awards were first held in 2011 at One May Fair in London. Since then the award ceremony has grown and moved to a larger venue to accommodated the increasing number of nominee and categories. The winners of the award ceremony will be announced on the 4th of December during the celebratory party held at the Freemason’s Hall in Covent Garden, London.
