Shoe retailer FitFlop has enlisted the help of e-commerce

solutions provider eCommera to drive growth and extend its presence internationally, it has been announced today.

As a replacement for its existing solution, eCommera has been drafted in to extend its current online operation to ten transactional websites across the UK, and to dip its toe into Europe and the US markets.

Launched in 2007, FitFlop has become synonymous with creating the ultimate in leg muscle activating sandals and now also sells boots, trainers, slippers and clogs in 52 countries. Increasing presence on online platforms is an important aspect of retailers’ strategies as the rise of omnichannel forces businesses to extend their reach. Last week, pure play e-tailer Amazon was announced as the fastest-growing brand on Facebook, acquiring 133,637 new fans last month, though remained behind Topshop and Asos in the Facebook Commerce Index.

Andrew McGregor, eCommera CEO, is delighted that the shoe retailer has decided to use its services to gain more of a foothold in the international e-commerce market.
He commented: “FitFlop is a brand that has a genuine global appeal, and a growth trajectory to match. The challenges it set for scalability, speed of international deployment and ongoing partnership are a perfect match for our proposition. We are looking forward to working with FitFlop to help them trade swiftly and profitably online in a variety of markets. We are also offering FitFlop our partnership approach which means they will benefit from our online, analytical and technical expertise to help them achieve their goals.”
