Virtual fitting room service Fits.me is increasing its reach with the announcement that

it has signed up a host of new brands including Austin Reed, Crew Clothing, M&Co, Musto and Savile Row Company.

The London-based service, which states that its virtual fitting rooms has the potential to reduce garment returns while also improve online conversion rates, has also attracted a number of international retailers including Danish brand Bilka, Top Vintage from the Netherlands, and Wahcoma from America.

Peter Rankin, VP Sales, Fits.me, said: “Our analytics results show that, across the board, shoppers who use the virtual fitting room are twice as likely to convert into a sale as those that don’t.

“Concluding a sale, in the size that the shopper wants, there and then, reduces the likelihood of the shopper looking and purchasing elsewhere, and e-commerce directors in competitive clothing sectors are very aware of that.”

Since Fits.me received 5 million pounds investment in April, the service has expanded to 23 retailers including Isabella Olivier, QVC and CC Fashion from the UK, as well as extending its reach to nine countries around the world.

Other clients include LK Bennett, Ghost, Hawes & Curtis, Henri Lloyd, Hugo Boss, John Smedley, Mexx, Nicole Farhi, Superdry and Thomas Pink.
