Luxury discount flash sales site Cocosa has been formally shut down and terminated all trading from February

14 at 12pm onwards.

Any returns or faulty items must be received before Friday 28 February in order to be processed, according to the help section on the website. Cocosa's customer service can still be contacted via email until the end of the week.

The Al Fayed Group acquired the flash sales luxury site in 2011 from the Bauer Media Group. Then last October, the Group, controlled by the former owner of Harrods, Mohamed Al Fayed, announced its decision to shut down the sales site and simplify its portfolio by exiting the Cocosa Lifestyle company.

The Group stated that the “costs of continuing to build the brand to market leadership were deemed too high to merit further investment.” Nevertheless the flash sales site still has hopes for the future and on it non-active homepage sends the following message to its customers;

“Dear Customers, Sadly, we are not currently trading on our website. We would like to thank all of our customers for their loyal support over the years. We do hope to return one day in the future, until then we'd like to wish you all the best from us here at Cocosa.”
