Fratelli Fila acquires Brooksfield

Turin-based apparel group Fratelli Fila – creator of eponymous brand Fila - has taken control
of Brooksfield so far owned by Mistral group, now in bankrupt. Brooksfield has an annual turnover of 25 million euros.Fratelli Filla, led by Francis Row, is a holding company that controls two operating companies, Beta SpA that distributes brand Fred Perry; and Newport SpA , which controls all Gant licenses.
Row´s company will close the year free of debt. The Verrone-based company had a 13 percent drop in sales in 2012, falling from 88.4 to 78.5 million euros. However, net profit was 7.5 million euros, slightly below the 7.7 million euros achieved a year earlier.
As published by local media, the Fratelli Fila group will create a separate company from other current lines of business to manage Brooksfield. The first collection under Fratelli Filawill will be that of A/W 2014.
