French Connection names new finance director

High street fashion brand French Connection has

appointed Adam Castleton as its new group finance director to succeed Roy Naismith, who is leaving the retailer after 12 years.

Joining from O2, where he is currently finance director of the O2 Business Division, Castleton will take over the role on August 12.

Castleton has more than 25 years working in finance roles and has held leadership roles at a number of international consumer-facing companies including eBay, Shopping.com, Polo Ralph Lauren and The Walt Disney Company.

Commenting on the announcement, Stephen Marks, chairman and CEO of French Connection said: "I am delighted that Adam is joining us. He has extensive and invaluable experience of working in senior roles at market leading consumer businesses.

“French Connection is going through a period of positive change, and Adam brings the skills we need to take the business through this period."

Castleton added: "French Connection is at an exciting and important stage in its development and I look forward to working with the Board and contributing to the future success of the business."
