Gant appoints head of UK wholesale

American lifestyle and fashion brand Gant has appointed Steven Kelly as head of wholesale for the UK and Ireland.

Kelly, who started his role on January 6, reports directly to Gant’s commercial director Peter Jenkins, and is responsible for all wholesale operations at the retailer, leading the teams selling menswear, womenswear, kidswear, and homeware. He will also be responsible for developing key license businesses including footwear, underwear and accessories.

He joins from Wolsey where he served as international sales director, prior to that he worked at Marc O'Polo, DKNY and Fred Perry.

Fergus Patterson, managing director of Gant UK, said: “Having reviewed our commercial structure and given the importance of developing our wholesale business, we have strengthened our wholesale team in order to deliver our plans over the next few years. We are delighted to have Steven on board and look forward to the continued growth of Gant.”
