GFW names best international collection

Angus Chiang from Shih Chien University in Taiwan beat

off tough competition from international graduates from 16 universities to win the Graduate Fashion Week’s International Show Award.

The international showcase brought together 20 ‘best-in-show’ final year student collections from participating fashion schools from around the globe including Istituto Marangoni, Parsons The New School for Design, Bunka Fashion College, Accademia di Costume e Moda and Kolding.

According to GFW judge Hilary Alexander, Chiang wowed audiences with his “psychedelic space man collection” to take home the coveted prize.

The award sees the winner receiving 1,000 pounds, while the university won 500 pounds. In addition, Chiang will see his work exhibited at Fashion Scout during London Fashion Week.
