Global Founders Capital invests in Girl Meets Dress

Luxury rental site GirlMeetsDress.com has announced an
undisclosed round of financing from Global Founders Capital. The latter is the last 200 million dollars fund backed by Rocket Internet’s Samwer brothers and former Delivery Hero co-CEO Fabian Siegel.The capital injection – which total sum remains unknown, will help the e-commerce fashion rental platform to invest in new staff, marketing and inventory processes, as Xavier de Lecaros-Aquise, Girl Meets Dress co-founder advanced: “The business is continuing to expand very quickly and we will invest the new funding in people, marketing, inventory and scaling our operations to make sure we are delivering incredible customer experiences.”

Launched in March 2013, Global Founders Capital, founded by Fabian Siegel and Oliver and Marc Samwer will support GirlMeetsDress.com to accelerate its growth by expanding its marketing efforts and editorial elements, enhancing the customer experience, bringing new talent on board and expanding its market share in the UK, as both parties stressed in a note.
