Hackett focuses on international expansion

After the opening of the flagship store on Regent Street in London, the premium and causal men's wear brand has its


sights set on international expansion. The British heritage brand, which was acquired by Pepe Jeans Group in 2006, is looking to open stores throughout Asia, South America and North America.

Over the course of the year, Hackett plans to enter the US market by opening a flagship store on Madison Avenue in New York City, which will offer over 800 square meters of selling space, as well as several concession stands in department stores such as Macy's, Saks Fifth Avenue and Bloomingdale's. Hackett will primarily focus on advertising its premium men's wear range, Mayfair, for autumn 2014 in the US.

Hackett also plans on opening six stand alone stores in China during the year, as well as a standalone stores in Barcelona, Chile, Venezuela and Peru. The British heritage brand currently has four stores in mainland China and two in Hong Kong, with a number of stores in Japan and Malaysia.

Hackett currently operates 77 retail stores in 16 countries around the world from its company headquarters in London, UK.
