Oscar-winning actress Halle Berry is to design her own shoe collection for Deichmann Shoes,

Europe’s largest shoe retailer. The line, ‘5th Avenue by Halle Berry’, features more than 40 shoes that Berry has helped to design, all of which will be limited edition.

The collection goes on sale in the UK from early March, with prices starting at £19.99, and will feature peep-toe wedges, high-heeled strappy sandals and vintage-inspired slingback wedges.

As well as designing the line, Berry will appear in the brand’s TV advertising and in-store point of sale material, and will be the retail chains new spokesperson.
“I think every woman would like to be involved in creating a shoe collection.  My 5th Avenue shoes can easily be worn by every woman,” said Berry.

Heinrich Deichmann, owner of the shoe company, added, "We are very pleased that Halle Berry is our new partner. She is an internationally renowned artist and a global style icon.”

In the past, Deichmann has collaborated on shoe collections with the Pussycat Dolls, the Sugababes and most recently Cindy Crawford. This latest venture marks Berry’s second foray into retail as she also has her own range of fragrances.

Deichmann has more than 55 UK stores including Westfield Shepherd’s Bush and Stratford.
