Hand & Lock names new Creativae Director

Hand & Lock, the London-based embroidery design brand,

has appointed Gregor Clemens as its new Creative Director. Clemens, known for creating detailed and timeless pieces, joins the company from fashion brand, Lac Et Mel, where he was head of design.

Commenting on his appointment, Clemens said: “I am sincerely honoured to be trusted with such a legacy. To me, heritage, craftsmanship and innovation are profoundly linked and form the base of outstanding designs. Hand & Lock are the epiphany of British style and I am happy to be given the opportunity to help form the future of such an iconic brand.”

The English heritage brand was founded nearly 250 years ago and has a legacy of working for the British royal family, creating wedding dresses, uniforms and flags. The fashion house also has a number of celebrity customers including Rihanna, and the brand created Michael Jackson’s iconic military jacket and Marilyn Monroe's sequinned dress in 'Gentlemen Prefer Blondes'.
