Harvey Jacobson purchases Barratts intellectual property rights

The company who recently stepped in and purchases Barratts intellectual property
rights, including the Priceless and Barratts footwear brands and website, has been revealed.Harvey Jacobson, footwear entrepreneur and chairman of the Jacobson Group, has been named as one of the backers to have acquired the intellectual property of Barratts.
According to newspaper the Yorkshire Post in a report to creditors, the administrators of Barratts, Duff & Phelps stated that two offers for the “intellectual property and e-commerce business,” had been received and added that “a sale of these assets was concluded on Friday, December 20 for a consideration of 300,000 pounds, plus VAT. The initial sales consideration was paid in full on completion”.
The report also stated that “The balance of 60,000 pounds is payable within six months and is secured by a personal guarantee from the director of W Barratt & Co. The sale was completed to W Barratt & Co, a company connected via common directors and management.”
According to a certificate of incorporation that was sent to Companies House, Harvey Jacobson is one of the directors of W Barratt & Co.
