Harvey Nichols appoints new head of digital marketing

British luxury department store group Harvey Nichols has announced the appointment

of Kerem Atasoy as head of digital marketing, effective from September 1. Kerem will be in charge of digital marketing and crm as well as the group's social media team.

Prior to taking on his new role, Atasoy was head of Youtube sales for Turkey and the Middle East. He also has experience working with premium labels and formerly part of Google's luxury business arm, where he worked with the company's London sales team alongside with global labels such as Burberry, Gucci and Net-a-Porter.

Atasoy will be reporting directly to Shadi Halliwell, group marketing and creative director at Harvey Nichols. "Digital is integral to our plans and offers us huge potential to grow our business in the UK and internationally," said Halliwell in a statement. "Kerem brings with him a wealth of knowledge and expertise in this area, and will play an important part in driving forward Harvey Nichols digital marketing strategy."
