Luxury department store group Harvey Nichols has tapped Olivia Richardson as its new group head of women's

wear.

The former head of buying for Anthropologie succeeded April Glassborow last month, who left her role at Harvey Nichols in 2013 to work as an independent consultant for fashion buying and retail.

Prior to joining the team at Harvey Nichols, Richardson worked as an independent consultant to luxury and high street retailers and brands with clients such as Liberty, Topshop and Bicester Outlet Village.

I am delighted Olivia is joining my team at this exciting time,” commented Harvey Nichols group buying director Anita Barr to Drapers. “Her exceptional judgment will help us with our aim of becoming a formidable player in the global luxury market with the best edit and the authoritative voice in fashion."
