British fashion retailer Hobbs has appointed retail veteran Meg Lustman as its Chief Executive Officer.

Lustman, who is set to take on her new role next month, brings with her over 20 years of experience in the fashion industry. Prior to joining the company, she was buying director of fashion for department store chain John Lewis.

She has also held a number of senior positions during her ten year tenure at Aurora Fashions, such as managing director of Warehouse and executive director of Mosaic Fashions. Lustman will be taking over the helm from former CEO Nicky Dulieu, who stepped down from her role at the fashion retailer after five years.

“Meg's extensive background in leadership roles in women's fashion makes her ideally positioned to steer Hobbs through its next phase of growth and international development,” said Phil Wrigley, chairman at Hobbs. “Meg is energetic, passionate and her inspirational leadership will be invaluable as Hobbs makes its mark as an international retail brand.”

Commenting on her new appointment, Meg Lustman added: “I am delighted to be joining Phil and the team at this exciting time for the business. Hobbs is a brand with a rich heritage and I look forward to leveraging the company's successes to develop the brand's global reach.”
