Horrockses Fashions for sale

British heritage brand Horrockses is for sale. The lifestyle and fashion company,

which was founded in 1946, is seeking a buyer and have appointed intellectual property specialist Metis Partners facilitate its sale.

A favourite of the Queen, Princess Margaret and Joan Collins, the brand was known for its high end printed cotton summer dresses and was awarded a royal warrant in the 1960s.

“Horrockses has been in existence for more than a century and its designs are associated with a timeless elegance and flair, which brought haute couture styling to aspirational buyers in the UK’s high streets," said Metis Partners.

The company’s success lay in the combination of innovative fabric design, the use of high quality cotton cloth and the collaboration between fashion and textile designers.
