House of Fraser to create new SEO role

High street giant House of Fraser is to address its online positioning as it has hired former Asos senior SEO manager

House of Fraser has created a new role for Peach as head of organic search (SEO) of the UK and Ireland.

Peach will assume his new role in early September and his responsibilities will be to lead a team of six in-house SEO employees and third-party agency partners, while overseeing the expansion of the current SEO programme.

Search Engine Optimsation (SEO) is the process of affecting the visibility of a website or a web page in a search engine's "natural" or un-paid ("organic") search results. In general, the higher ranked on the search results page and the more frequently a site appears in the search results list, the more visitors it will receive from the search engine's users.
