Department store chain House of Fraser is continuing its

collaboration with retail guru Mary Portas with the introduction of an accessories line this autumn.

The extension of the collaboration follows the success of her womenswear collection, which was launched to champion “fashion for grown-ups”. The new range of bags will launch in ten House of Fraser stores nationwide, including Portas’ six HOF concept stores on Oxford Street, Westfield and in regional towns. In addition, the Oxford Street store will house a dedicated Mary Accessories boutique within its brand new Accessories Room.

The six bags ranging from larger shoppers to clutch bags have all been named after music genres and will retail between 39 and 189 Pounds.

Commenting on the new collection, Portas said: “We sat down to design our Mary handbag collection with the same intention as when we launched the new clothing range a year ago. That is, we wanted to create bags that look totally chic, feel gorgeously luxurious, and multi-task like nobody’s business at a fair and reasonable price.”

House of Fraser’s executive fashion director Stephanie Chen added: “The success of Mary’s collection for House of Fraser has been unprecedented. An accessories collection was the natural progression for this fast growing lifestyle brand.

“Mary has got the mix of luxury, function and price point just right.”
