i-D digital launches Italian platform

British fashion publication i-D magazine has announced the launch of its Italian language digital platform,

i-D.co, which is set to correspond with the start of Milan's Fashion Week.

The debut Italian platform marks the publication expanding presence in the country and will showcase a number of collaborations between i-D.co and local brands, designers, artists and innovative individuals. i-D's Italian launch is joint effort with Vice Media, which acquired the publication in 2012 and relaunched the i-D digital platforms out of London and New York in November 2013.

"We are in the midst of a digital revolution that is transforming fashion media as we know it. i-D is curating a new chapter in fashion in Italy, while translating its lifestyle spirit into the digital arena and offering a completely different kind of magazine experience altogether," commented Gloria Maria Cappelletti, editor at i-D Italia.

"The Italian i-D.co will meld world-class editorial, cutting edge talent and innovative brand partnerships - all with the unique Italian eye for style. Fashion lacks a real point of reference in the digital media world; i-D has got the ambition to become the leader in this field, which represents the future," added Andrea Rasoli, publisher for Vice Italia.
