Ilse Jacobsen Hornbaek opens first UK store

Danish lifestyle brand Ilse Jacobsen Hornbaek, known for its rain

boots and raincoats, has opened its first UK concept store in the UK in Tunbridge Wells, Kent.

The UK is the brand’s fourth biggest territory, the largest outside of Scandinavia, and it is due to its “tremendous growth” in the UK through its wholesale channels that has led to the opening of its 900 square foot concept store.

Situated in the market town of Tunbridge Wells, the store will house the label’s clothing, shoes, accessories as well as its signature Rub & Rain collection of wellies and rainwear.

“Our current success in the UK is due to the fact that the people of Britain are beginning to recognise that we have more to offer than trendy rain boots and functional raincoats of high quality,” said sales director Kim K Larsen. “Our clothing and shoe collections have been very well received this season and this contributes to the recent British success.”

Founded more than 20 years ago, Ilse Jacobsen Hornbaek has become known for its functionally outerwear and footwear, which follow Scandinavian design traditions.
