Metis Partners, intellectual property specialist, confirmed the successful sale of value fashion chain Internaçionale
IP this week.“The sale process was very competitive and Metis has been successful in finding a buyer of considerable stature,” said Stephen Robertson from Metis Partners.
Edinburgh Woollen Mill Group, owner of fashion retailer Peacocks is thought to be the buyer, paying a six figure amount for Internaçionale IP assets which includes its customer database, website content and trademark, according to Drapers.
“The buyer is an extremely successful company which operates in diverse sectors of the marketplace and the assets contained within the Internaçionale brand will add to its already impressive portfolio,” commented joint administrators, Lyn Leon Vardy, Toby Scott Underwood and John Bruce Cartwright from PricewaterhouseCooper.
Internaçionale previously own 89 stores throughout the UK before it entered into administration earlier this year, the second time in eight months, and shut down all stores.
