Internet Retailing Awards shortlist revealed

Asos, Burberry and John Lewis are among the shortlisted

fashion retailers announced in this year’s Internet Retailing Awards.

The annual awards, which celebrate the biggest names in the e-commerce sector, features eight categories, including innovation, Omni, mobile retailing, customer service, and international achievements.

Fashion retailers have been shortlisted in a number of categories including Burberry, Marks and Spencer and Topshop for the innovation award, while Aurora, John Lewis and Debenhams are up against Tesco in the Omni award.

Luxury group Net-a-Porter is in the running for the M-Retailing Award, which recognises retailers mobile activates beyond an obligatory app and tablet-optimised site, against Debenhams, eBay marketplace and Amazon.

The Customer Award pits department stores House of Fraser against John Lewis, while the international award, which recognises the retailer that has thought strategically to create digitally-led or digitally-enabled international markets for their products and services, has shortlisted Asos against Net-a-Porter, Zalando and Wiggle.

Asos and Net-a-Porter are also in the running for the Global Award for their ‘capabilities, competitiveness and commercial performance on a global stage’ along with H&M and Tesco.

Winners of this year’s Internet Retailing Awards will be announced on June 26 at an award ceremony in London.
