A new weekend showroom is launching next year February, that aims

to bring together 14 British independent children's brands. Named Dot to Dot London, the debut show is set to take place on the 8th to the 9th of February at the V&A Museum of Childhood in London.

“At present the UK childrenswear market is incredibly competitive, and for small independent businesses like us this can be a real stumbling block when it comes to a strategy for tradeshow season. Myself and co-founder Carly Gledhill quickly realized, through talking to other brands, that the industry was in need of an alternative platform for smaller labels to take the spotlight, but without the increasing costs of larger trade events,” said Nicole Frobusch, co-founder of Dot to Dot London and owner of Nixie Clothing.

She added that the museum was chosen to be their first venue because it is dedicated to childhood and is in the middle of a creative area of the city, two key elements for Dot to Dot London.

We wanted to create something more intimate and with a collective feel - an antidote to the often hectic tradeshow experience. We have been overwhelmed by the wonderful response received from the industry as a whole and we feel that Dot to Dot has come at just at the right time,” concluded Frobusch.

Brands that will be showing their Autumn/Winter 14 collections in the vaults of the toy museum include Ava and Luc, Becky Baur, Corby Tindersticks, Little Mashers, Indikidual, Jake and Maya, Lilwen, Little Titans, Little Troll, Loud Apparel, Madame Chalet, Marmalade and Mash, Nixie Clothing and Poco Nido.
