Italian retail chain OVS, part of Gruppo Coin, is planning an IPO for the second part of 2014. As was announced at a press

conference in Milan this morning. Gruppo Coin, which operates under several brands, OVS, Coin, Upim, Iana and Excelsior Milano, delisted from the Milan Stock Exchange in September 2011 after a take over by BC Partners earlier that year.

OVS offers fashion and accessories for the entire family. Oviesse literally means "fast fashion" and it's the Italian answer to fast fashion chains like H&M from Sweden and Zara from Spain.

Gruppo Coin reported 1.648 million euro in sales in FY 2011 and 183.1 million EBITA. Coin is now one of the biggest retail chains in Italy. Gruppo Coin is leader in the Italian apparel retail market with 6.51 percent market share. According to the website the company has 1020 shops in Italy and 117 stores abroad. International expansion has been high on the wish list for the company for quite some time.
