Womenswear retailer Jane Norman has placed its remaining 24 stores in the UK and Ireland into administration,

as the company to be unable to continue sustaining its money-losing high street retail locations.

Jane Norman will continue to run its online and international concession stores as normal and will try to keep its high street stores open as long as possible before their impending shutdown, reported Drapers.

Alistair Wardell, Les Ross and David Riley from Grant Thornton will act as appointed administrators during the womenswear retailers closure.

Jane Norman was previously went into administration in 2011, during which Zolfo Cooper, appointed administrator, sold a third of the chain´s stores to Edinburgh-based Woollen Mill for an undisclosed sum.
