The Sharp Project to relocate its multi-channel content and production team to the the digital content firm's headquarters in Manchester.

JD Sports Fashion has agreed on a long-term lease for the Sharp Project 'Stage 02' and will move 58 members of staff to the 10,400 square foot production location in the firm's Bury complex this September.

The sportswear and fashion retailer is set to use the location as the permanent foundation for all its digital and marketing content, as well as its multi-channel content across all the retailer's brands. “This is a very exciting step for us. Multi-channel is a significant growth area for us and a key strategic priority,” said Peter Cowgill, executive chairman of JD Sports Fashion in a statement to Manchester News.

“Taking this facility at The Sharp Project means we can facilitate our rapid growth and future demands while still keeping it local. We are combining all of our content, photography, design and production into a single multi-channel team...it will help us keep ahead of the competition.”
