Following the announcement that Peter Ruis will be joining Jigsaw

as CEO last week, the womenswear retailer is bolstering its senior management team with Richard Gilmore, who is set to join the company as Chief Operating Officer in September.

Gilmore will be responsible for operations, merchandising, trading and logistics at the brand. He joins from Fred Perry, where he currently oversees the company’s global supply chain, but has also previously worked at Debenhams, River Island and John Lewis.

Gilmore said: “I am joining Jigsaw at a very exciting time for the brand. Logistical efficiencies, growth in e-commerce and improved merchandising are just some of the areas I will be focusing on.”

Charles Atterton, currently joint-CEO with John Robinson, added: “The appointments of Peter and Richard are an investment in Jigsaw’s future. We are confident we have found the right executive leadership to take the company forward.”

Atterton will become Jigsaw’s chairman while Robinson will become chairman of Kewsaw, the parent company of the group.
