French footwear brand J.M. Weston has opened a
boutique on Jermyn Street, one of London's most traditional menswear streets.J.M. Weston, which was founded in 1891, is the only shoe-maker in the world to own two tanneries, one responsible for its leather uppers and one for their soles.
The new flagship store finds itself in good company, counting boutiques such as Church's, Tricker's and Crockett & Jones as its neighbours.
The store is reminiscent of a Parisian style apartment, with parquet floors and mirrors. Sleek shelves line the walls and feature curios from artistic director Michel Perry's travels around the world - tribal sculptures, vintage globes and glossy picture books.
The company also offers a made to measure shoe service for those who prefer their footwear bespoke.
